TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 30 shots and the Tampa Bay Lightning set a franchise record for consecutive home wins in a 5-3 victory against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.
Alex Killorn, Nikita Kucherov, Brayden Point, Cedric Paquette and Carter Verhaeghe scored for Tampa Bay, which won its 11th game in a row on home ice. The Lightning also won their 10th consecutive game overall to become the third team in NHL history to have two separate winning streaks of at least 10 games in the same season.
The 1929-30 and 1970-71 Boston Bruins are the only other teams with multiple winning streaks of 10 or more games in the same season.
Vasilevskiy improved to 19-0-2 in his past 21 starts.
Ivan Provorov, Claude Giroux and James van Riemsdyk scored for the Flyers, and Carter Hart stopped 19 shots.
KINGS 3, AVALANCHE 1
AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Col. (AP) - Tyler Toffoli scored twice in the final minute to complete a hat trick and Los Angeles beat Colorado at the Air Force Academy in the third and final outdoor game in the NHL this season.
Toffoli put Los Angeles ahead 2-1 with 54 seconds remaining, then scored an empty-netter with 4.3 seconds left.
The Kings won their second straight, improving to 4-12-1 since New Year’s Day.
At 6,621 feet above sea level, this was the highest altitude ever for an NHL game.
Colorado goaltender Philipp Grubaurer stopped 14 of 15 shots before leaving after teammate Ian Cole slammed into him early in the third period and sent him tumbling. He was replaced by backup Pavel Francouz with 17 1/2 minutes remaining.
Samuel Girard scored for the Kings. Los Angeles goaltender Jonathan Quick made 32 saves.
COYOTES 3, CAPITALS 1
GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Antti Raanta stopped 36 shots to keep Alex Ovechkin at 698 career goals, Phil Kessel scored early in the third period, and Arizona beat Washington.
Raanta was sharp all night and made a tough early save against Ovechkin, who has gone four straight games without a goal for the first time this season. He went three games without a goal before notching No. 600 with his wife in the stands in 2018.
Christian Dvorak scored his 18th goal in the second period and Kessel redirected a shot past Braden Holtby on a power play in the third. Lawson Crouse capped it with an empty-net goal.
Holtby stopped 27 shots and Carl Hagelin scored for Washington.
GOLDEN KNIGHTS 1, ISLANDERS 0
LAS VEGAS (AP) - Marc-Andre Fleury got his 60th career shutout, Reilly Smith scored late in the second period, and Vegas edged the Islanders.
Fleury finished with 19 saves for his fourth shutout this season.
Vegas is 6-3-2 since coach Pete DeBoer replaced the fired Gerard Gallant on Jan. 15.
Fleury improved to 26-11-6 with five shutouts in his career against the Islanders. The wins are the third-most against any opponents for Fleury, while the shutouts are tied for second-most.
Semyon Varlamov finished with 42 saves for the Islanders, who were shut out for the second straight game.
OILERS 4, PANTHERS 1
SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) - Adam Larsson scored his first goal since last February, Leon Draisaitl added an insurance goal seconds into the third period and Edmonton beat Florida.
Darnell Nurse and Kailer Yamamoto had empty-net goals in the final two minutes for the Oilers, who have won three of their last four games.
It was the sixth loss in seven games for the Panthers, who are 2-6-1 since the All-Star break. Florida had entered the break on a six-game win streak.
Edmonton goalie Mikko Koskinen made 33 saves, while backup netminder Sam Montembeault stopped 25 of 27 shots for Florida.
PREDATORS 4, BLUES 3
ST. LOUIS (AP) - Mikael Granlund scored a power-play goal early in the third period and Nashville held off St. Louis.
Viktor Arvidsson, Matt Duchene, and Kyle Turris also scored for Nashville, which improved to 3-0 this season against the defending Stanley Cup champions.
Jusse Saros made 24 saves to improve to 11-9-4 on the season.
Zach Sanford, Jaden Schwartz and Jordan Kyrou scored for the Blues.
BRUINS 4, RED WINGS 1
BOSTON (AP) - David Pastrnak scored his 42nd goal of the season to lead Boston past Detroit, giving Bruce Cassidy of the Bruins his 200th victory as an NHL coach.
Brad Marchand scored his 25th goal of the season and assisted on Pastrnak’s goal for the Bruins, who have won eight of their last nine. Charlie McAvoy added a goal and an assist and Charlie Coyle had his 13th goal. Tuukka Rask finished with 25 saves to improve to 14-0-6 at home this season.
Darren Helm scored for the Red Wings, who have lost three straight and have the fewest points in the NHL. Jonathan Bernier finished with 37 saves.
Cassidy has 153 victories with Boston and 47 with the Washington Capitals.
SHARKS 2, WILD 0
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Martin Jones stopped 39 shots for his first shutout of the season, and Dylan Gambrell scored his third goal for San Jose in a win over Minnesota.
Melker Karlsson added an empty-net goal for San Jose, which won for the fourth time in five games after learning earlier in the day it would be without leading scorer Erik Karlsson and leading goal-scorer Evander Kane.
Karlsson, the defenseman who leads the team with 34 assists and 40 points, is out for the rest of the season after breaking his thumb in Friday’s win at Winnipeg. Kane, who has 21 goals, was suspended three games for elbowing Jets defenseman Neal Pionk in the same game.
Alex Stalock made 19 saves for Minnesota, which lost its first game under interim coach Dean Evason a day after firing Bruce Boudreau.
MAPLE LEAFS 4, SENATORS 2
OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) - Auston Matthews scored and Jack Campbell made 24 saves for his third win in four games with Toronto.
Jake Muzzin, William Nylander and Mitch Marner also scored for the Maple Leafs.
Campbell improved to 3-0-1 since Toronto acquired him on Feb. 5.
Connor Brown and Cody Goloubef scored for the Senators, who fell to 1-5-2 in their last eight games. Marcus Hogberg was pulled after giving up three goals on 16 shots. Craig Anderson stopped all 14 shots he faced.
STARS 4, CANADIENS 3, OT
MONTREAL (AP) - Tyler Seguin scored twice, including the overtime winner, to give Dallas a comeback victory over Montreal.
Mattias Janmark and Blake Comeau scored in regulation for the Stars, who trailed 3-0 before rallying. Joe Pavelski had two assists as the Stars extended their winning streak to four games and improved to 6-1-1 in their last eight games.
Joel Armia, Jordan Weal and Nick Cousins scored for the Canadiens, who have lost four in a row.
Ben Bishop made 29 saves and outdueled Montreal’s Carey Price, who allowed four goals on 26 shots.
BLACKHAWKS 8, FLAMES 4
CALGARY, Alberta (AP) - Alex Nylander had two goals and Chicago snapped a five-game losing streak with a win over Calgary.
Jonathan Toews, Dominik Kubalik, Alex DeBrincat, Brandon Saad, Patrick Kane and Kirby Dach also scored for Chicago (26-24-8).
After entering with two goals in his previous 34 games, Nylander scored twice in the second as Chicago took advantage of several defensive miscues to outscore the Flames 4-1 in the period despite being outshot 14-7.
Sam Bennett and Elias Lindholm had two goals apiece for the Flames, who have dropped five straight home games.
