Mike Lindell, founder and face of the My Pillow brand that has made him among President Trump’s most recognizable supporters, insisted Friday the White House will not change hands next month.
“I want the word to get out that Donald Trump will be our president for the next four years,” Mr. Lindell said while speaking from a protest taking place outside the Georgia governor’s house.
Mr. Lindell proceeded to say he recently spoke to Sidney Powell, a lawyer previously identified as an attorney for the Trump campaign, and claimed firsthand knowledge the president will prevail.
“When I go all-in like I did for the president in 2016, I do my due diligence and I get out there, and I could sit here and tell you, 100%. Not 98, 100%,” Mr. Lindell said live on Fox News.
Preliminary results of the presidential race found Mr. Trump was beaten by Democratic challenger Joseph R. Biden as virtually all major nationwide polling had predicted leading up to Election Day.
But more than one month since voting ending Nov. 3, Mr. Trump has refused to acknowledge losing his race for reelection and has insisted without evidence the contest was “rigged” against him.
Republicans have largely avoided straying from the president and his unproven claims of fraud, and some of his supporters are organizing a rally in support of Mr. Trump next week in Washington, D.C.
Indeed, Mr. Lindell is sponsoring a multi-state “March for Trump” bus tour currently in Atlanta when he spoke to Fox News. It is set to culminate in D.C. next Saturday, Dec. 12, days before the election results are certified and made official.
Mr. Lindell, 59, rose to fame as the founder and pitchman for the My Pillow product he invented in 2004. He has been an outspoken supporter of Mr. Trump and has joined him at the White House before.
Speaking to Fox News, Mr. Lindell suggested even Biden voters who attend the “March for Trump” events will leave convinced of purported wrongdoing he alleges occurred in the presidential race.
“Democrats are going to go, ’Wow, at least my party tried to steal it,’” Mr. Lindell claimed.
Legal action launched in several states by lawyers representing Mr. Trump and his campaign, in addition to lawsuits being pursued separately by Ms. Powell, allege the presidential race was rigged.
None of those suits have gained considerable steam, however, and the leaders of federal law enforcement and security agencies maintain they found no evidence of any fraud that could have altered the election.
The website Mediaite first reported Mr. Lindell’s remarks. Mr. Biden is set to be sworn in on Jan. 20.
