Democrats, deep staters, Republicans In Name Only, Black Lives Matter Marxist-types — all these players and more are just days from breathing sighs of relief at the end of the “America First” administration, the one run by President Donald Trump, the one run by the guy who outright, beginning to end, refused to play polite political behind-closed-door games.

The intrigue’s not over yet.

Sen. Josh Hawley, for the left, has become Public Enemy Number One.

What’s Walmart’s “sore loser” is the Trump supporter’s final hope.

“Millions of voters concerned about election integrity deserve to be heard,” Hawley wrote on Twitter. “I will object on January 6 on their behalf.”

Walmart responded on Twitter with this: “Go ahead. Get your 2 hour debate. #soreloser.”

And then Hawley responded to Walmart on Twitter with this: “Thanks @Walmart for your insulting condescension. Now that you’ve insulted 75 million Americans, will you at least apologize for using slave labor?” China, anyone?

He added this: “Or maybe you’d like to apologize for the pathetic wages you pay your workers as you drive mom and pop stores out of business.”

Gulp.

“The tweet published earlier,” Walmart rushed to explain, “was mistakenly posted by a member of our social media team. We deleted the post and have no intention of commenting on the subject of certifying the electoral college. We apologize to Senator Hawley for this error and any confusion about our position.”

Well and good.

Fine and dandy.

But the latest news grabber in this election of all elections — the one that will no doubt go down in history as The Example of dirty, dastardly Democrat deceits — shows just how scornful the left in this country is of President Trump, President Trump’s supporters, and all that President Trump’s administration represented.

Make America Great Again.

America First.

These weren’t just talking points for the Trump administration. They were political playbooks. More than that, they were moral compasses.

They were the phrases that reminded daily of the shining city on the hill America was supposed to be — is supposed to be — is indeed still is.

They were the focus of prayers and pleas of long-ignored American, largely disenfranchised, overwhelmingly forgotten voters everywhere. And for those stalwarts and holdouts of American Exceptionalism, Trump proved solid.

He never did turn in his MAGA button for the chance to hang with the elites at a ritzy D.C. party.

And for that — Trump couldn’t be forgiven. The left, the elites, the globalists, the RINOs, the arrogant class of ruling politicos can forgive about everything — lies, thefts, adulteries, murders, even murders of unborn innocent babies. But principle? Standing strong on principles that put America and all those, gasp, working class American citizen types? Shunning the hand of elitist snobs for the sake of regular Janes and Joes? That’s the unforgivable sin.

That’s why Trump was so hated by the left: he didn’t play the elitist, globalist game. He said America First, and he meant it. He upset the system. He disrupted the dirty norms.

And his snooty enemies on both sides of the political aisle can’t wait for him to leave so D.C. can return to dirty politics as usual.
