STREAKS, STATS AND NOTES — Indianapolis needs a win and a loss by Baltimore, Cleveland, Miami or Tennessee to make its second playoff appearance in six years. A victory for the Colts and loss for the Titans gives Indy the AFC South title. … The Jaguars have lost 14 straight since beating Indy in Week 1. … Jacksonville already has locked up the No. 1 overall draft pick. It hasn’t covered the spread the last three weeks. … The Jags also appear to be on the cusp of a major rebuild after firing general manager Dave Caldwell in late November. Coach Doug Marrone could be next. Marrone is 12-35 since taking Jacksonville to the AFC championship game following the 2017 season. … Jacksonville and Pittsburgh are the only AFC teams to have three receivers with 50 or more receptions. DJ Chark Jr. has 53, Laviska Shenault Jr. and Keelan Cole Sr. each have 52. Chark is contending with an injured shin and may not play. … Shenault is 12 catches short of Justin Blackmon’s franchise rookie record for receptions (64). … RB James Robinson leads the Jags with 1,070 yards rushing but has been ruled out because of an injured ankle. He’ll finish 35 yards short of breaking the NFL’s rushing record for an undrafted rookie, which still belongs to former Colts RB Dominic Rhodes, who had 1,104 yards in 2001. … Joe Schobert (132 tackles) and Myles Jack (113) have combined for the third-most tackles by a linebacker tandem in the NFL this season. Schobert had one sack, forced one fumble and picked off one pass in Jacksonville’s loss last week to the Bears. … The Jags and Colts have the two highest yards from scrimmage totals by rookies this season. Jacksonville’s rookies have compiled 2,334 yards while Indy’s have 1,838. … The Colts have lost the last two in this series and five of the last seven against the Jags. … QB Philip Rivers is expected to make his 240th consecutive start Sunday, breaking a tie with London Fletcher for seventh on the career starts list while tying Julius Peppers for No. 6. Rivers’ contract expires after this season. … Rivers needs one TD pass to break a tie with Hall of Famer Dan Marino (420) for No. 5 on the league’s career list and 12 passing attempts to surpass Eli Manning (8,119) for No. 6. … With two TD catches, WR T.Y. Hilton will pass Jimmy Orr (50) for fourth in Colts history. Hilton’s contract also expires after this season. … The next reception by TE Jack Doyle will move him past Marcus Pollard (263) for third all-time among Indy tight ends. … Jonathan Taylor enters the game 84 yards short of becoming Indy’s first rookie 1,000-yard rusher since Joseph Addai in 2006. … The Colts have allowed 21 sacks, tied for third fewest in the NFL. … LB Anthony Walker is 13 tackles away from his second straight 100-tackle season. … Colts DE Justin Houston, the 2014 NFL sacks champion, needs three sacks for 100 in his career. Houston also has four career safeties, tied for the most in NFL history. … Indy’s 24 takeaways rank No. 3 in the NFL this season. … K Rodrigo Blankenship needs one field goal to break the franchise’s rookie record set by Raul Allegre (30) in 1983. .. Fantasy tip: Indy’s strong defense is a big reason the Colts are even in the playoff hunt. But after last week’s second-half collapse, two-time Pro Bowler Darius Leonard and his teammates have something to prove against one of the league’s worst offenses.
