Dwayne Haskins needs more than just a new team. He also needs a new agent.
Haskins, released by the Washington Football Team Monday, has parted ways with agent David Mulugheta of Athletes First.
“Dwayne is a great young man with whom I wish I could have continued to work with,” Mulugheta tweeted. “Yet the decision was made that a fresh start would be in Dwayne’s best interest. I wish him nothing but success moving forward and will continue to root for him.”

Haskins’ short career stop in Washington came to an end Monday following a three-turnover performance in a loss to the Carolina Panthers. But the breakup had been building, especially after Haskins partied without a mask after Washington’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Dec. 20.
The team fined Haskins $40,000 and removed him as a captain.
Then coach Ron Rivera opted to waive the 2019 first-round selection, who ends his time in Washington with 16 games played, 14 interceptions and 12 touchdowns.
Mulugheta represents some of the biggest names in the NFL, such as Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey and Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Haskins passed through waivers unclaimed, but the NFL Network reports Haskins is drawing interest from several teams, including the Carolina Panthers.
After his release, Haskins tweeted that he “will become a better man & player because of this experience.” With a total reset — leaving Washington and Mulugheta — Haskins may find another opportunity elsewhere.
