He has been on the national airwaves for over a quarter of a century. Now Michael Savage is making a change. In January, he will transition from his syndicated radio show to an all-podcast show format.

“In 26 years on radio Savage has earned some great accolades: ’Radio Legend’, ’Radio Rock Star’, ’Talk Radio Kingpin’, ’Godfather of Trumpmania’. Many credit his mantra ’culture, language, borders’ with having set the stage for Donald Trump’s political rise,” Mr. Savage said in a statement released Tuesday.

The host appears ready to make the big move away from the world of syndicated radio and call-in shows.

“Already, Savage’s current podcast, launched in 2019, is in the top 2% nationally, with hundreds of thousands of downloads per episode. But those numbers will explode when his passionate listeners can no longer find him on the radio dial,” the statement noted.

Mr. Savage is directing listeners and fans to get updates at his website and will also be expanding his fan newsletter, currently delivered by email.

The new Savage Nation Podcast is described as “essential Savage” — focusing on news, political views, culture reviews, politics, history, science, nutrition, cooking, movies & TV, literature, philosophy, cars, animals and spirituality.

The host himself anticipates anew direction with even more “edge as he frees himself from the constraints of corporate broadcasting,” the statement said. “Watch out America — the Savage Nation is coming soon,” it concluded.
