ALTADENA, Calif. (AP) - Los Angeles County sheriff’s have taken three men into custody in connection with a weekend outbreak of gun violence in suburban Altadena.

Two people were wounded in four shootings that rocked the foothill community northeast of Los Angeles in less than an hour Sunday, the Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.

Deputies were investigating the shooting of a 49-year-old man shortly after noon when shootings occurred at two liquor stores.

No one was hurt in either of those shootings but 10 minutes later gunfire wounded a 31-year-old man at a different location.

A short time later, police in neighboring Pasadena detained a vehicle with three occupants and sheriff’s detectives took the trio into custody. No information on their identities was released.

The Sheriff’s Department said the two wounded men were hospitalized and both were expected to survive.
