For the first time in three years, Dez Bryant threw up his signature ’X’ celebration in the end zone.
The Baltimore Ravens wide receiver caught a touchdown in the second quarter Sunday from quarterback Lamar Jackson, another mile marker in what has been a lengthy comeback attempt for Bryant.
The former All Pro wideout was released from the Dallas Cowboys in 2017. A torn Achilles suffered early in his stint with the New Orleans Saints kept Bryant out of the league longer, but the Ravens added the three-time Pro Bowler to their practice squad earlier this season.

He made the active roster in November but was sidelined once again after what appeared to be a positive coronavirus test. That result forced him to miss a reunion with Dallas, as well as last week’s matchup with the Cleveland Browns.
The night of the Cowboys game, Bryant tweeted that he planned to “quit for the rest of the season.” But Bryant didn’t actually quit, and he then tweeted that he produced multiple negative tests over the coming days, implying that his initial test was a false-positive.
Bryant returned off the COVID-19/Reserve list this week and now has a touchdown to his name once again, his first score since 2017.
