Russell Westbrook is bringing his talents to Chinatown.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Houston Rockets have agreed to trade the All-Star guard to the Washington Wizards in exchange for the Wizards’ own star guard, John Wall.

The Rockets also will get a first-round draft pick in the swap, reported Mr. Wojnarowski, ESPN’s senior NBA insider.

“The two GM’s — Washington’s Tommy Sheppard and Houston’s Rafael Stone — hadn’t talked in weeks on the deal, but connected this afternoon and had a deal done within a few hours, sources tell ESPN,” Mr. Wojnarowski tweeted.

Westbrook has long been one of the NBA’s most-exciting players, but has never won a title, even when playing alongside fellow stars James Harden and Kevin Durant on the Oklahoma City Thunder early in the last decade.

Wall also is a franchise player but is coming off a ruptured achilles tendon, which was not his first major leg injury, that kept him off the court for all of last season.
