Just two weeks ago the Pittsburgh Steelers were the last undefeated team in the NFL.
Now, they’re no longer even atop their own conference.
With a 26-15 loss the Buffalo Bills on “Sunday Night Football,” the Steelers fell to 11-2 on the year — dropping them to the No.2 seed in the AFC. In the process, the Kansas City Chiefs became the No. 1 seed, which is important because only one team per conference gets a first-round bye this season.
After losing to Washington last week, Pittsburgh again struggled on offense. The Steelers managed only 224 total yards and quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hasn’t looked nearly as crisp as he did at the beginning of the season. The 37-year-old threw two interceptions in Buffalo.
If the Steelers don’t turn things around, they risk even losing the AFC North. The Cleveland Browns (9-3) have a chance Monday to be just one game behind Pittsburgh if they beat the Baltimore Ravens on “Monday Night Football.”
