DENVER (AP) - President Donald Trump has appointed his longtime aide Kellyanne Conway to the U.S. Air Force Academy Board of Visitors after she left the White House in August.

The Air Force Times originally announced Conway’s appointment on Tuesday, The Denver Post reported. Conway served as Trump’s campaign manager during the stretch of the 2016 election.

The board’s charter says it provides “independent advice and recommendations on matters relating to the U.S. Air Force Academy.”

The six-member board meets about four times a year and works with a $275,000 annual operating budget, which includes travel expenses, covers meetings and contract support.

The Air Force Academy is located in Colorado Springs, about 70 miles (110 kilometers) south of Denver.
