OPINION:
Some new poll numbers are in, and contrary to what the left will tell, and the mainstream media will sell, President Donald Trump is finding high favor with the majority of U.S. voters.
By the numbers: 51% of likely U.S. voters say they approve of Trump’s job performance.
That’s according to Rasmussen, which has been tracking Trump’s favorability with voters daily.
And according to past Rasmussen polls: That’s higher than what Barack Obama registered with voters at this time in his presidency, during a run for reelection.
Gulp.
Hear the CNN pundits swallow.
“The latest figures,” Rasmussen wrote, in its Daily Presidential Tracking Poll of 1,500 likely voters, with a 95% level of confidence, “include 40% who Strongly Approve of the job Trump is doing and 41% who Strongly Disapprove.”
The categories, when totaled, come out to 51% of likely voters approving of Trump’s job performance versus 47% disapproving.
In July of 2012, Obama’s “total approve” figures largely ranged between the 46% and 50% mark, with the “total disapprove” between 49% and 53%.
In August of 2012, his “total approve” percentages fell even lower, ranging between 43% and 47%, and his “total disapprove,” between 52% and 54%.
“Trump’s approval rating [at] 51 percent,” Mediaite wrote, “is 7 points higher than former President Barack Obama’s approval rating on the same day in 2012.”
Interesting.
The takeaway?
No wonder former Vice President Joe Biden’s people want him to stay in the basement.
