NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont will visit North Haven and Branford on Friday after storms brought strong winds, downed trees and widespread power outages to the western and southern parts of the state.
The National Weather Service is sending personnel to survey damage and determine if tornadoes touched down in parts of Connecticut and New York during Thursday’s storm.
Lamont is expected in North Haven at 10 a.m. and in Branford at 11:30 a.m.
