There are go-Donald Trump signs supporting the president’s reelection; there are vote-Joe Biden signs calling for a change in White House leadership. But a new wave of signage is dotting America’s landscape, bringing a message that goes like this: “JESUS 2020.”

Thank God.

(See what I did there?) No, but seriously: Thank God American citizens are starting to wake up and smell the need for a higher authority to lead. It’s just what the country needs.

Trump is great and all, but in the end, he’s just a guy.

His time in office is limited. One day, soon enough — too soon for any sane sensibilities, to be honest — but soon enough, one day, a Democrat will be back in the White House. Democrats will have full control of Congress; House and Senate, both.

And America’s already perilous times will become even more perilous. Freedom will become a thing of the past; government control, government dictates, government-imposed collectivism will become American order of the day.

Only a higher authority can save the country from such a fate.

That’s how Founding Fathers intended it, too.

“[H]ave you ever found in history one single example of a Nation thoroughly Corrupted — that was afterwards restored to Virtue — and without Virtue, there can be no political Liberty,” John Adams cited in a letter to Thomas Jefferson on December 21, 1819.

“[S]ince there is no truth more thoroughly established, than that there exists in the economy and course of nature, an indissoluble union between virtue and happiness, between duty and advantage … Since we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven, can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained,” said George Washington, in his Inaugural Address to the Senate and House on April 30, 1789.

And the rest.

There are more, many more.

Atheists, secularists, leftists, and public school teachers are busily teaching and admonishing otherwise, that this nation was built entirely by racist old white men who used almost exclusively the slave labors of downtrodden Blacks to construct a nation run by a government that is now inherently racist and as such, ought be abolished. But the truth is the truth: And the truth is this nation was founded was Judeo-Christian principles that demanded that leaders either adhere to the moral guidance of a higher authority — or the nation, the democratic-republic nation, would crumble on its own moral decay.

This is where America now stands.

The road of secular collectivism, of evil socialism, of un-American Marxism, of destructive globalism is to the left. The path toward freedom, individual rights, self-rule, self-determination, sovereignty and godly governance is to the right.

Trump has been a great stopgap to the black nets cast by the globalists and elitists. But his days are numbered.

America must turn to a higher power, or say goodbye to freedoms.

“Less than 90 days out from what historians may point to as the strangest presidential election of the century, thanks to disruptions at the polls from COVID-19 … Americans are posting an unusual campaign sign in their front yards that reads ’JESUS 2020,’ ” reported the American Family Association. “More than 5,000 of the signs have shipped to almost every region of the United States.”

Credit Sampey Memorial Baptist Church members in Ramer, Alabama, for the idea.

As AFA Vice President Ed Vitagliano said: “[T]he Savior is not just the hope for our nation. He is the hope for every nation.”

Indeed.

For 2020 and beyond.
