WILLARD, Mo. (AP) - The boys and girls soccer coach in Willard has been charged with having sexual contact with a female student in 2009.

Tim Magee, 49, was charged Saturday with three counts of second-degree statutory sodomy after the former student came forward with her allegation, prosecutors said. He was also fired Saturday as Willard’s soccer coach, The Springfield News-Leader reported.

The girl was younger than 17 when the sexual encounters allegedly occurred at Magee’s home in 2009.

Superintendent Matt Teeter said the district and the Willard Police Department began investigations when the allegations were made in mid-August.

Magee had been employed by the school district since 2005, teaching special education and physical education. He stopped teaching but was named head boys and girls soccer coach in 2008.

Online records indicate Magee bonded out of jail Monday. His attorney was not immediately available to comment Monday.
