The mullahs’ regime in Iran is a dictatorship that rules through terror, and by denying the value of human life.

It massacres, as was the case in 1988, but also represses, imprisons, tortures, and executes on a daily basis.

Furthermore, the Iranian regime has executed two Kurdish political prisoners in the Urmia prison on July 14. They were held in the corridor of death for seven years.

Again, last Wednesday, the death sentence was given to three protesters from the uprising of last December; and on July 8, a young prisoner was hung for having consumed alcohol.

Iranians have been protesting heavily for the last few years to show their rejection of this tyrannical theocracy.

The mullahs govern through terror because they are scared, fearing another widespread uprising which could overthrow them.

Each time this happens, asking the High Commission of Human Rights to take action against this religious regime in Iran is no longer enough.

Today’s meeting shows an alternative for universal values, especially the abolition of the death penalty, free elections, female, ethnic and religious equality, separation of the church and the state, and a foreign political standpoint based on a peaceful coexistence with a non-nuclear Iran.

This is why we support the 10-point plan proposed by Maryam Radjavi for the free Iran of tomorrow.
