Our hopes were high during the Iranian revolution, and we expected that many things would change for the better from a fatal autocratic regime to a democratic system, public freedoms, a comfortable economy, and good relations with neighboring countries.

MEK members I visit with have similar expectations for Iran today, but freedom is closer.

From Lebanon to Iraq to Syria to Yemen, the regime is engaged in terrorism. It the regime its fundamental and essential, meaning the word Khomeini is synonymous with terrorism.

The regime is waging a counterrevolution against the Iranian people, thousands of people in detention facilities or executed. This was a tragedy for the Iranian people , for the region, and for the world.
