OPINION:
What a privilege it is to speak to all of you as you continue to fight for a free Iran.
America stands in full solidarity with the people of Iran and fully supports their desire to be a free people as evident in the uprisings in the last few years.
Earlier this year, I joined a number of my colleagues to sponsor a resolution that supports the people of Iran as they continue to engage in legitimate forms of protests and condemns the current regimes murderous response.
But that’s just one step in the path towards a free Iran, we’ve got many more to go. Thank you all for having me today. And keep up the great work.
