OPINION:
Thank you Madame Rajavi. Thank you for your leadership. History will record you as one of the people in all of human history who stood up for freedom. You will be counted among the few leaders who stood up for freedom, never gave in, and never gave up. It’s an honor to address you and other freedom fighters throughout the world. I enjoyed visiting with you some years ago and look forward to Camp Ashraf 4 in Tehran, the sooner the better.
This battle for liberty has been going on for 40 years. During all of that time, there’s never been any accountability for the regime’s murder, mayhem, pillage, and evil. Whether it’s 1988, 2000, 2009, or 2017, they’ve never been held accountable for these actions of evil throughout the world.
The embassies are being used, as was said, as a spy network, as a forward operating base for the IRGC’s terrorism. These embassies are being used as a military base. We are letting a foreign enemy, terrorist enemy, into our countries, and all we do is send them back home. No, close them down now.
Congress’ recent resolution, House Bill 374, condemns the current regime and supports the Iranian people. That’s what it’s all about, beginning with the Declaration of Independence: That governments are instituted among people to secure those rights. And if a government becomes destructive to those ends, it is the right, the right of the people, to alter or abolish that government. So, we have the human right to change that government when it has become destructive.
The mullahs must go. Regime is about to topple, and it’s time we help it do that. And so, we must fight that virus and fight that plague. Be strong, be courageous, you daughters of democracy and you sons of liberty. Thank you.
