PHOENIX (AP) - The National Weather Service has issued another excessive heat warning for the Phoenix area beginning Wednesday when 111-degree conditions are forecast.

Meteorologists said highs of at least 113 degrees are expected from Thursday through the weekend in metro Phoenix.

An excessive heat warning had been in effect for the Phoenix area last Sunday through Monday night.

Last Saturday, Weather Service officials said Phoenix tied a record from 2011 for 33 days in a calendar year with temperatures at or above 110 degrees.

The average temperature in Phoenix last month was 99 degrees, making it one of the hottest months in the city’s history.
