LACONIA, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire’s Department of Transportation has postponed work on the replacement of a “red-list” bridge in Laconia due to delivery issues associated with the coronavirus pandemic.

The department said Friday that “critical materials necessary” for the U.S. Route 3/Endicott Street Bridge are not available. The work was scheduled to start Monday.

The bridge carries Route 3 traffic over the New Hampshire Railroad.

The department said the project was anticipated to have a planned four-week road closure, with detours.

Red list bridges are considered in need of repair or replacement.
