BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - The North Dakota State Patrol a driver going the wrong way on Interstate 94 near Bismarck caused a crash that took his life and injured five others, including three young children.

Rodell Kramer, 49, of Bismarck was driving a Chevy pickup truck eastbound in the westbound lanes of the interstate about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when he crashed into a Ford pickup with five people inside, including children ages 4, 6 and 8, according to the patrol.

Kramer was pronounced dead at the scene. Those in the Ford truck were taken to a Bismarck hospital. Their conditions were not immediately available.

The crash four miles east of Menoken shut down eastbound traffic for more than two hours.
