OPINION:
Candace Owens, conservative commentator, said in an exclusive interview with Glenn Beck of The Blaze that she’s set her sights on a run for political office.
Get yer tickets fer the big fight now, boyz. In this corner we have Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the House, carrier of the summers of resistance brochures. And in this corner? Thirty-year-old Owens, heck bent on bending leftist wills.
“I’ll tell you something else, Glenn, I’ll win,” she said. “They won’t know what hit them. … They’re being dishonest and they lie and I’ve had enough of it.”
Owens said she hasn’t yet decided on which office to seek.
But the decision’s soon coming, she said.
In a tweet sent out just moments before going on The Blaze TV, Owens wrote she was “honestly considering running for office.” And when asked about the tweet during the Blaze interview, Owens said: “You know, I was talking to my husband about this. … I said to my husband, you know, I think I should get into politics. I think I should run. I should surprise run and take somebody for everything they have and expose people.”
She said she was “eyeing a seat right now,” but wouldn’t elaborate.
“I’m not going to say whether it’s in the Senate, whether it’s in the House, whether it’s for governor, whether it’s for president,” Owens said. “But I am serious about it. I am very serious about it.”
Guess it’s safe to guess that the local planning commission isn’t in the running.
