The mother for Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns died Monday after a month-long battle with COVID-19.
Last month, Town shared his mother, Jacqueline Towns, was in a medically-induced coma following displaying coronavirus-like symptoms in an emotional video posted on Instagram.
On Monday, the Timberwolves relayed a message from the Towns family that announced Jacqueline Towns’ passing:

Towns, 24, said last month that his mother was battling a fever and a cough before her conditions worsened, adding his father was also sick.
