PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - A Mississippi high school student has been arrested after making a threat against his school.

Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell says the 14-year-old student from St. Martin High School was arrested Saturday after the boy allegedly posted via social media that he was going to “shoot up the school Monday.”

News outlets report the teenager faces a charge of making terrorist threats on social media and is being held at the Jackson County Youth Detention Center. His name has not been released because of his age.

Investigators identified the student and arrested him after the threat was discovered Friday night.
