EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Despite an 0-3 start, coach Jay Gruden is not coaching for his job Sunday when the Redskins take on the New York Giants, according to a report.
The NFL Network reported Gruden’s job status is safe for now, but adds he is on the hot seat.
From @NFLGameDay: #Redskins coach Jay Gruden may be on the hot seat, but I’m told his status does not hinge on today’s result. Either way, expect him to ride it out with the staff he has. pic.twitter.com/GIU8anDcCd

The league-owned network’s report contradicts a report from The Washington Post which cited multiple sources saying that Gruden could be fired if the Redskins don’t win at MetLife.
Oddsmakers have pegged Gruden as the favorite to be the first coach fired this season.
