BRUNSWICK, Maine (AP) - Three airports in Maine will receive more than $13 million in federal funding to make improvements.

The money is from the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Program and it will assist Presque Isle International Airport, Auburn-Lewiston Airport and Brunswick Executive Airport.

The Brunswick airport will use more than $2 million to improve its parking lot and rehab its apron. Presque Isle International Airport is expected to use more than $1 million to pay for snow sweepers that will keep the facility running during winter weather events. Another award of more than $6.7 million will help rehabilitate the airport’s apron.

The Auburn-Lewiston Airport will get more than $3.2 million to reconstruct a runway.
