After reports emerged over the weekend that the Jacksonville Jaguars are not interested in trading him, cornerback Jalen Ramsey called in sick and will miss practice Monday.

Ramsey, who requested a trade last week, thinks he has the flu, according to ESPN. The 24-year-old played in Thursday’s win against the Tennessee Titans,  days after he demanded out of Jacksonville.

The Jaguars were believed to be initially open to trading Ramsey, but multiple reports indicate the owner Shad Khan does not want that to happen.

It may seem like strange timing, but ESPN’s Josnia Anderson reports Ramsey is “legit sick.”
