NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - The New Jersey Devils have promoted team president Hugh Weber and replaced him with Jake Reynolds.

Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, the team owners, announced the move Thursday. It takes effect immediately.

Reynolds will oversee all business, revenue, strategy and operations for the NHL team. He previously served as the chief revenue officer for HBSE. He will work alongside executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero in rebuilding the three-time Stanley Cup champions.

Hugh Weber will have an elevated leadership role. He had been the president of the Devils and Prudential Center since 2013. Reynolds and Chris Heck, president of the Philadelphia 76ers, will report to Weber.
