MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) - Officials say health care startup Prospero Health plans to invest $1.5 million to establish its operational headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee

Memphis and Shelby County officials said Tuesday that the Boston-based company is expected to create more than 240 jobs over the next five years.

Prospero Health’s new facility in Memphis will provide administrative support for its doctors, nurses, and social workers. They provide supportive care in the home, over the phone and through so-called telehealth services.

The company’s partnership with the University of Memphis’ research park will allow it to access research and researchers at the school and find future employees.

The company says it has job opportunities in medical and business fields.
