There have been a rash of quarterback injuries in the NFL this season. And in light of that, Colin Kaepernick’s agent is calling teams to advocate for his client.
A source close to Kaepernick told SNY’s Chris Williamson that the free agent quarterback is in the “best shape of his life” and remains committed to play football again.
Kaepernick, who settled his collusion grievance against the league earlier this year, last played in the NFL in 2016.

Through two games, the Saints, Steelers, Jets, Jaguars and Panthers have all seen their starting quarterback suffer an injury. None of those five have signed Kaepernick.
On Wednesday, the Jets signed journeyman David Fales to backup Luke Falk, who is now team’s starter after initially beginning the season on the practice squad. The Jets are without Sam Darnold (mono) and backup Trevor Siemian (ankle).
