PHOENIX (AP) - The Latest on the arrest of an Arizona state trooper (all times local):

Authorities say a now-former Arizona state trooper accused of trying to exploit female drivers for sexual favors during traffic stops was a “statistical anomaly” who pulled over more women than men.
The Department of Public Safety said in a probable-cause statement released Wednesday that a traffic-data system indicates former Trooper Tremaine Jackson “did not fit the norm” for DPS officers in the Phoenix area who typically stop nearly two men for every one woman.
The statement also said Jackson used comments, body language and other means to place female victims “in positions of desperation and fear” and that he illegally detained women he found attractive.
Jackson appeared in court Wednesday and was ordered held pending posting bail of $150,000.
Court records didn’t indicate whether he has an attorney who could comment on the allegations.

A male now-former Arizona Highway Patrol trooper is accused of trying to exploit eight female drivers for sexual favors during traffic stops and the Arizona Department of Public Safety says officials believe there may have been more victims.
The DPS says it terminated Tremaine Jackson late Tuesday after he was arrested on suspicion of 61 counts including sexual abuse, attempted sexual abuse and sexual exploitation.
DPS Col. Frank Milstead says agency officials are “absolutely horrified” by the allegations against Jackson and want anybody victimized by Jackson to come forward.
Jackson was booked into jail Tuesday night. Court records didn’t indicate whether he has an attorney who could comment on the allegations.
The 13-year veteran of the DPS most recently was assigned to motorcycle duty in metro Phoenix.
