LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas firefighters say a woman and her 6-year-old son have died after a Tuesday morning house fire that injured another family member.
The Las Vegas Sun reports the fire started in a bedroom of the family’s two-story home in west Las Vegas. The cause of the fire is under investigation and the flames did not spread to other parts of the home.
The woman and her son were taken to a hospital, where they died. The child’s uncle was treated for smoke inhalation and released from the hospital.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the mother and child.
