RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Police in North Carolina say an Uber driver was shot in the head while dropping off a passenger.

News outlets report Raleigh Police say the driver was finishing a trip early Monday morning when shots were fired into her vehicle and a stray bullet or fragment hit the top of the driver’s head. Officials say her injuries aren’t considered life-threatening.

WRAL reports the passenger fled the car, and the victim drove for a mile until she could stop and call for help.

She was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Police are searching for suspects.
