What do Greta Thunberg, Barack Obama and Jesus of Nazareth have in common?

Answer: Jesus.

All three are one-and-the-same Jesus — in the eyes of the left, that is.

“Church Of Sweden Announced Greta Thunberg ’Successor’ Of Jesus,” one DailyWire.com headline just blared, above a story about how the Church of Limhamn — also known as the Church of Sweden — tweeted out last December, “Announcement! Jesus of Nazareth has now appointed one of his successors, Greta Thunberg.’”

The tweet made a resurgence of sorts recently, due no doubt to Thunberg’s speech at the United Nations — the one where she wagged her finger at the adults of the world over climate change, while self-righteously proclaiming, “How dare you, how dare you.”

Leftists and their religions.

They’re all so busily scouring the world for saviors — outside of looking to the actual Savior, Jesus Christ Himself.

“Barack Obama Depicted As Jesus: ’The Truth’ Painting Draws Criticism For Controversial Metaphor,” another headline, this one from HuffPost, shockingly stated in December of 2017.

That piece went on to recount how a painting by Michael D’Antuono generated quite a bit of controversy for its feature of a painted Obama, a crown of thorns atop his head, arms splayed and raised, casting a dejected look downward.

“[I]n a position that is reminiscent of the crucifixion,” is how HuffPost wrote it.

The artist, as HuffPost went on to report, said he received 4,000 or so emails from “the irate Christian Right” who saw the painting as “blasphemy.”

Ya think?

What’s even more curious is D’Antuono expressed disbelief at the “irate Christian Right” for what he said was misinterpreting his painting’s meaning.

“The crucifixion of the president was meant metaphorically,” he explained. “My intent was not to compare him to Jesus.”

That’s probably true.

Liberals, after all, have little concept of Jesus, of the Bible, of moral compasses and values and virtues that come from the Creator. So how can they honestly be held accountable for what they don’t know?

“Democrats under fire for removing ’God’ from party platform,” The Washington Post reported in 2012.

“Democrats Drop ’God’ From Party Platform,” Christian Headlines reported in the same time frame.

To Democrats, God is just another political tool.

To leftists, Jesus is just another word for someone who preaches a sacrificial message that carries a socialist hope — like an environmentalist calling for mass, global regulation to supposedly save planet Earth.

To radicals, Jesus is Greta Thunberg is Barack Obama is — whomever.
