SUMNER-BONNEY LAKE, Wash. (AP) - The Sumner Paraeducators Association approved a new three-year contract after a strike cancelled class for two days.

KOMO-TV reports the Sumner-Bonney Lake School District will resume school on Tuesday.

Paraeducators attribute their new contract to support from the community, other unions and their own teachers.

They’d been negotiating since June and working without a contract since the end of August.

The district had to shut down school Friday when paraeducators picketed and Monday for their contract vote.
