Washington Wizards point guard John Wall soon may no longer represent Adidas.

The shoe and apparel company is discussing buying Wall out of his contract after less than two years, ESPN reported.

Wall has dealt with injuries for most of the time since signing with Adidas in January 2018. He missed most the end of the 2017-18 season with a knee injury, then had his 2018-19 season cut short by an Achilles tear from which he’s still recovering.

The Achilles tear threatens to keep him sidelined for the entire 2019-20 season. Being unable to play means Wall isn’t as visible a figure to wear Adidas’ shoes.

Wall first endorsed Adidas from 2013 to 2015 and put out two signature sneakers with them in that time. His current endorsement deal was supposed to last five years for $25 million.
