Redskins rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins replaced Case Keenum in Thursday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings as the latter was ruled out with a concussion.
Keenum played the entire first half, but did not emerge when the Redskins began the second half.
This is Haskins’ second appearance of the season. The 22-year-old played in Week 4 against the New York Giants.
Washington’s coaches have said Haskins is not ready for the full-time job as he still has to get used to NFL defenses. But he’ll now get his chance to prove otherwise, if Keenum can’t return.
The Redskins trail 13-6.
