When you’re up against the best team in baseball, this is bound to happen.

The American League champion Houston Astros were installed as heavy betting favorites to beat the Washington Nationals and win the World Series, according to multiple sportsbooks.

The largest discrepancy in favor of Houston as of Sunday morning was posted by Caesars Sportsbook, where the Astros were -235 favorites and the Nationals stood at +195.

Bovada listed the Astros as -225 favorites over Washington at +180, according to oddsshark.com. And BetMGM had Houston at -223 against the Nationals’ +180.

This makes the Astros the heaviest World Series favorites since 2007, ESPN reported.

The Astros finished the regular season with the best record in baseball at 107-55. They finished off the New York Yankees on Saturday after six games in the AL Championship Series.

The Nationals, meanwhile, are in the midst of a full week off after sweeping the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLCS. The World Series begins Tuesday in Houston.
