Megyn Kelly will appear on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” this week in her “first TV appearance” since her very public departure from NBC News last year, Mr. Carlson announced Monday night.
Mr. Carlson said his former colleague was returning to Fox News on Wednesday for an interview nearly three years after she left the network to host “Megyn Kelly Today” at NBC.
Mr. Carlson said little about the content of his interview with Ms. Kelly, stating simply, “She’s got a lot to say. I hope you’ll watch.”
Ms. Kelly was a longtime Fox News anchor until she abruptly left in January 2017 to pursue daytime television at NBC. Her show was canceled less than two years later amid criticism for comments she made on air about blackface and Halloween costumes.
Fox News said in a statement that Ms. Kelly’s appearance Wednesday is a one-time thing and does not signal her return to the network.
“Megyn Kelly’s forthcoming guest appearance on Tucker Carlson Tonight was coordinated weeks ago and is a one-time occurrence,” the network said. “Any future programming changes we are considering do not involve her.”
