PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - A Florida man has been convicted of killing his neighbor and taking money from his bank account.

The Pensacola News Journal reports 45-year-old Kalvin Allison was convicted Friday of second-degree murder, tampering with evidence and three counts of grand theft. He faces up to life in prison at a November sentencing.

Officials say a woman walking her dog found Charles Locke’s body in May at the end of a Pensacola street. He was bound by duct tape and string, and sheet rock and a kitchen tile were found near the body.

The materials led investigators to Allison, who lived next to Locke. Allison initially denied involvement but later argued that he used justifiable force.

Investigators found Allison had withdrawn money from Locke’s bank account multiple times following Locke’s death.
