ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills aren’t playing a perfect game, but they’re getting much more accomplished on offense than the Washington Redskins.
Buffalo jumped ahead early and leads Washington at halftime of their Week 9 tilt, 17-6.
Making his first career start, Dwayne Haskins went 5-for-8 for 57 yards in the first half, but Washington’s offense has been powered by Adrian Peterson. The running back gained 101 yards on 10 touches and took a reception 22 yards.
Peterson powered two scoring drives in the second quarter, but both stalled in the red zone, leaving Dustin Hopkins to make field goals from 29 and 33 yards out.
But the Bills got into the red zone on each of their first three drives. In the first quarter, Cole Beasley scored on a 6-yard toss to the front corner of the end zone. Josh Allen pushed in on a 1-yard quarterback sneak for Buffalo’s other touchdown.
