You’ve filled up on turkey, but do you still have an appetite for Redskins football? After three straight years of playing on Thanksgiving Day, Washington plays a regular Sunday game this weekend on the road against the Carolina Panthers. Here’s what you need to know:

Opponent: Carolina Panthers (5-6)

Where: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, North Carolina

When: Sunday, Dec. 1, 1 p.m.

Television: CBS

Radio: The Team 980, ESPN 630AM

What to watch for:

• The Panthers want to halt a three-game losing streak, but perhaps the Redskins have a winning streak in them. Fabian Moreau grabbed two interceptions in Washington’s second win of the year, as the defense held back-up quarterback Jeff Driskel and the Lions to 16 points. This week, they get Kyle Allen, who has fared far better than Driskel while filling in for the injured Cam Newton. On the other hand, Allen got picked off four times against Atlanta two weeks ago.

• Josh Norman is now a back-up. Interim coach Bill Callahan said Norman will play this week, but will not start, saying it will be a week-to-week decision going forward. That tracks: It was reported last week against Detroit that he’d be a healthy scratch, but he ended up staying active and only seeing the field for extra point block. It’s Norman’s first time back at Bank of America Stadium after playing for the Panthers for four seasons, but the homecoming is overshadowed by his benching.

• In a season dominated by quarterbacks like Lamar Jackson and Russell Wilson, is there room in the MVP discussion for Christian McCaffrey? The Panthers’ second-team All-Pro running back leads the NFL with 1,123 rushing yards and 16 total touchdowns — and he has more receptions than most of the league’s wideouts, with 68 for another 586 yards. The Redskins can beat the Panthers by either matching Carolina score for score or finding a way to contain McCaffrey. The question is, how?
