Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has drawn comparisons to Michael Vick all season. Now he’ll be considered better than Vick on one very hallowed territory: the video game realm.

The makers of the “Madden NFL” video game series are set to upgrade Jackson’s speed statistic in the game to 96, making him the fastest quarterback in the game’s history, beating Vick’s previous best mark of 95.

The “Madden 04” version of Vick was excellent, to the point of being overpowered. Gamers could play as the Atlanta Falcons and benefit from Vick’s ratings of 95 in speed, 94 in acceleration, 95 in agility and 97 in throwing power.

In real life, Vick is a big fan of Jackson, the second-year dual-threat quarterback who’s led the Ravens to seven straight wins by dominating defenses.

Vick posted a video to Twitter congratulating Jackson on “the changing of the guard”:

“Lamar’s the modern-day, new-era quarterback, and well deserving of it,” Vick said.

Jackson is on pace to break Vick’s single-season quarterback record of 1,039 rushing yards. Jackson just needs to run for 164 more yards over the final five games of the season.
