LAS VEGAS (AP) - The Latest on a police shooting at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas airport (all times local):

An airport official says a man shot and wounded by Las Vegas police during a struggle on the tarmac was not employed by McCarran International Airport or any of its concessionaires.
McCarran International Airport spokesman Chris Jones said Thursday the it’s not immediately clear if the man was an airline passenger, but officials know he didn’t work at the airport.
Police Capt. Nichole Splinter says the wounded man and an officer who was knocked unconscious were taken to a hospital following the 4 a.m. shooting in a secure baggage screening area outside a terminal that mainly serves domestic airlines.
Police say the man entered the secure part of the airport at a different terminal that mainly serves international travel and made his way to where police apprehended him.
Names have not been made public.

Las Vegas police say an officer shot and wounded a man who attacked three officers who found him on a tarmac outside a terminal Thursday morning.
Capt. Nichole Splinter said the wounded man and an officer who was knocked unconscious when knocked to the ground during a struggle with the man were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Splinter said the wounded man was in surgery but she didn’t release any information about him or his condition and it isn’t known whether he was a passenger.
Splinter said police encountered the man outside Terminal 1 about 20 minutes after they investigated a report of a person going through a security door at Terminal 3 but didn’t find anyone in the vicinity.
Splinter said the man became “extremely irate” while being escorted to a public area of the airport and began attacking the officers before one of them fired two rounds.

Officials at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas say a shooting in which was suspect was injured Thursday is having no impact on flight operations.
Media outlets report the shooting occurred on the tarmac at Terminal 1. The airport’s website says airlines using that terminal include American, Allegiant, Delta, Southwest, Spirit and Contour.
Las Vegas police say the suspect “was struck” in a shooting involving at least one officer and that no officer was injured.
No additional information was released on circumstances of the shooting, including the condition of the suspect or the nature of that person’s injuries.
