WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Freshman Miroslav Stafl posted a season-high 19 points as Hartford topped Division III opponent Emerson 78-63 on Thursday.

Freshman PJ Henry also had a season-high with 15 points for Hartford (4-2). Traci Carter added 10 points, and Michael Dunne had six rebounds.

Hartford led 33-30 at the break but quickly extended it to double digits after a Romain Boxus 3-pointer with nearly 16 minutes remaining. The Hawks extended their lead to 22 points, powered by Henry’s six points.

Zach Waterhouse had 16 points for the Lions. Nate Martin added 14 points, and Jack O’Connor had nine rebounds.

Hartford takes on Merrimack at home on Sunday.
