CLARKSVILLE, N.Y. (AP) - Police are looking for a 17-year-old boy as they investigate the discovery of two bodies in a burning home in western New York.
Officials closed local schools and issued a shelter-in-place advisory after the bodies were found early Thursday morning in the Allegany County town of Clarksville.
State police say they want to question the teenager, who was at the scene as the fire was being put out but left before troopers arrived.
Police did not say if he lived there or if he was related to the unidentified victims.
The Portville, Bolivar-Richburg and Cuba-Rushford school districts announced closings on Thursday.
Security reasons were cited but further details were not given.
Police in Cuba and Clarksville advised residents to stay inside and not answer their doors.
