TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A Tucson man has been convicted in a shooting last year that injured his ex-girlfriend and fatally wounded the woman’s new boyfriend.
Pima County prosecutors say a jury found 38-year-old Daniel Benjamin Miller guilty of second-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault.
Tucson TV station KOLD reports Miller is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 13.
Tucson police say 54-year-old Michael Grove and the female victim whose name hasn’t been released were at her south side home in June 2018.
Police say Miller arrived at the home and shot both victims before driving off.
Grove and the woman were found lying on a street.
Police say Grove died at a hospital, and the woman recovered from her injuries.
Miller fled Tucson and was arrested a few days later in Phoenix.
