Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson threw four touchdown passes Sunday, becoming the first quarterback with multiple four-touchdown games in Ravens history.
The second-year quarterback is up to 19 passing touchdowns and six rushing scores, and he’s entered the top 10 in the NFL with 788 rushing yards on the season — better than most teams’ running backs. With six games to go, Jackson is on pace to finish with 1,260 rushing yards.
Jackson is considered one of the top candidates for league MVP, along with Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, the latter of whom Jackson’s Ravens just dominated in a 41-7 win Sunday.
So Ravens running back Mark Ingram thinks there’s no question who should be the first name to come up in those MVP debates.
“The MVP front-runner,” Ingram said of his quarterback during his postgame press conference. “If anybody else got to say something different about that then come see me. I’m right here in B-more outside the Bank (M&T Bank Stadium). If you got an issue with that, come see me.”
