CLEVELAND (AP) - Police say a man accused in the death of a 6-year-old girl fatally shot when multiple rounds were fired into an Ohio home has been arrested on a warrant charging him with aggravated murder.
A Cleveland police release says 21-year-old Raysean Howard Jr., of Euclid, was arrested Wednesday in last month’s fatal shooting of 6-year-old Lyric Lawson.
Police have said one of numerous shots fired into the home struck the child in the head around 1 a.m. Oct. 5. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Authorities say the warrant was issued Wednesday for Howard’s arrest and he was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service in Tennessee.
Neither Cleveland nor Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH’-guh) County court records list an attorney for Howard.
